SDGs Materiality Issues

In order to promote the SDGs throughout Toyohashi University of Technology, we have specified "SDGs Materiality Issues" and principal KPI related to the SDGs, based on our philosophy, future vision, and Fourth Medium-Term Goal and Plan.

In specifying the above, we clearly stipulated the current strengths and ideal future state of our university while referring to factors such as the status of our initiatives related to the SDGs thus far, opinion exchanges with experts, and the "THE Impact Rankings" assessment regarding how universities are addressing social challenges.

For the specification of KPI, we identified major target values in our Medium-Term Plan and so on that are especially relevant to the various SDG MaterialityIssues. Targets not presented here, which can be found in our other medium-term plans, individual activities within our university, our projects, and so on, are also elements that are necessary for realizing the ideal future state shown together with the priority themes. As such, we have newly set KPI related to the "THE Impact Rankings," the United Nations Academic Impact, and our number of scholarly publications, and are thereby working to promote the SDGs throughout our university.
