On Tuesday, November 11, 2025, Dr. Edward Syarif, Head of Architecture Department at Hasanuddin University (Indonesia), and eight accompanying members visited Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT).

Hasanuddin University, established in 1956, is the largest comprehensive national university in eastern Indonesia and one of the country's leading universities, along with Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Indonesia, Bandung Institute of Technology, and Bogor Agricultural University.

TUT and Hasanuddin University have maintained a twinning program for ten years, and the agreement has been renewed for another five years starting in August 2025.

During the visit, the delegation discussed the monitoring of Hasanuddin University students currently studying at TUT and exchanged views on further promoting collaboration through the twinning program.

The visit was conducted in a cordial atmosphere and contributed to strengthening the partnership between the two universities.
