
A delegation led by the Vice Chancellor of Universiti Perlis in Malaysia paid a courtesy visit to our university

On Tuesday, July 7, three representatives from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP)--a partner university of ours--paid a courtesy visit to our university: Vice Chancellor Zaliman Bin Sauli, Deputy Vice Chancellor Shahriman Bin Abu Bakar (in charge of Research and Innovation), and Ms. Elley Nadia Binti Elliazir.
Representing our university were President Akihiro Wakahara; Board Members Mutsuko Jimbo and Mitsuteru Inoue; Professor Lim Pang Boey, Global Engagement Center; Masakazu Kobayashi, Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Assistant Professor Khoo Pei Loon of the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere, and a wide-ranging and lively exchange of views took place regarding the further strengthening of ties between the two universities, potential future collaboration in education and research, and international joint research projects.
Following the courtesy visit, the delegation toured the Institute for Research on Next-Generation Semiconductor and Sensor Science (IRES²), the Research Center for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology, and the Materials Assurance Laboratory (headed by Professor Kobayashi).
