On Saturday, October 26, a total of 11 teams competed in the 47th Opening Commemorative Ekiden Road Relay Race along the university's loop road and perimeter road (six sections totaling 16.2 km).

The event was blessed with fine weather and went off without a hitch.
At the opening ceremony, Interim President Wakahara delivered a speech and the representative of the teams made a pledge of allegiance.

At 13:30, Mr. Shibata, Committee Chair of the Student Life Committee, gave the starting signal.
All teams ran as hard as they could, and the triathlon team won with a time of 1 hr 4 min 1 sec and was awarded the President's Cup by Interim President Wakahara.
