Scholarship and Financial Support

1. Scholarships Information

Some International Students in Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) receive scholarships for their study and research.

International applicants could apply for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships, JICA scholarships, JDS scholarships, Aichi Scholarship before coming to Japan, for instance.
In addition, International Students after enrolling in TUT, may also have chances to apply for some scholarships.

Please note that the number of these scholarships is very limited. Some international students get the scholarships of their own countries.

You may also be able to contact Japanese Embassies (consulates) or JICA offices in your own country for further information. Please note that there are some eligibilities and conditions to apply for these scholarships.

Scholarships from Private Organizations

Privately-financed students in TUT are eligible to apply for scholarships from various private organizations. For more information, please check our website from the URL below. Please note that the number of scholarships is very limited and Japanese Language Abilities may be required to apply for most of these scholarships.

Honors Scholarships for Privately-Financed International Students

<Available after admission>

Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) offers "Honors Scholarships" by its selection for privately-financed international students at universities who shows excellence in their work and character and who are recognized to be in need of economic assistance during their stay in Japan.
