[Notice] Regarding overseas travels by students

Although we still need to be vigilant regarding new coronavirus infection, we have adopted the following basic policy to ensure as many opportunities as possible for students to study and train abroad.

1) In principle, overseas study and training should be conducted in countries and regions rated Level 1 or lower in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' "Trave Advice and Warning on Infectious Diseases"

2) However, travel to countries/regions with "Level 2" or "Level 3" infectious disease risk information issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is acceptable for the purpose of study/training (including overseas practical training and attendance at international conferences/conferences). In such cases, please be sure to discuss the necessity of the trip with your academic advisor, faculty member in charge of the project, and administrative staff in advance. (In particular, when traveling to a country or region with a "Level 3 infectious disease risk information, it is necessary to fully consider the necessity of the trip.)

3) Private travel shall follow the same policy as in 1) above. Voluntary restraint (in principle, no travel) shall be exercised for overseas travel to countries and regions rated Level 2 or higher.
