Research
While linking architectural planning, environmental behavior, and architectural design, we conduct research and design activities centered on the ideal environment for children's play and nurturing.Theme1:Planning and improvement of children's play and living environment
Overview
Through behavioral observation surveys and psychological evaluation experiments, we are developing research activities to understand the spatial needs of each user and elucidate the nature of architectural spaces. Our research focuses on a wide range of areas covered by architectural planning, with a particular focus on children's play and living environments, as well as how they should be and the establishment of research methods. In recent years, we have also been creating a new term in architectural planning, including providing guidance on how to set and use spaces that match existing spaces.
Theme2:Architecture and space interpreted from people's behavior
Overview
My research focuses on human behavior in a certain environment and questions its mechanisms and meaning. It is positioned as a complement to architectural planning, and studies the relationship between humans and the environment, covering a wide range of interdisciplinary research fields (ergonomics, environmental psychology, human environment studies, etc.).
Theme3:Architectural design based on research accumulation
Overview
Our distinctive feature is that we carry out design activities based on knowledge from architectural planning and environmental behavior studies. So far, we have designed renovations (housing, childcare facilities, elementary schools), housing, facilities for people with disabilities, childcare facilities, etc.
