TUT’s Robocon Club Wins NHK Student Robocon 2026 and Secures Top 4 Finish at World Championship
TUT’s Robocon Club, the "Toyohashi☆Robocons," were victorious in the NHK Student Robocon 2026 which was held on Sunday, June 14 at Ota City General Gymnasium.
The competition theme for the 2026 tournament was "Kung Fu." Inspired by the ancient martial art of Hong Kong—the host city for the international competition—the theme of the contest echoed the path of the martial artist, emphasizing the honing of discipline, tactics, and teamwork while respecting tradition. Our team progressed through the tournament all the way to the final, where they took on and defeated The University of Tokyo in the final match to claim the national title.
Following this victory, our team went on to represent Japan at the Asian championship ABU Robocon 2026, held in Hong Kong on Sunday, August 23. Although our team made it to the top four, they were narrowly defeated in the semifinals. However, their outstanding technical expertise and strong teamwork were highly commended, earning them both the "Special Award" and the "Team Spirit Award."
ロボコン同好会がNHK学生ロボコン2026で優勝！世界大会でもベスト4
6月14日（日）、大田区総合体育館で「NHK学生ロボコン2026」が開催され、本学のロボコン同好会「とよはし☆ロボコンズ」が優勝しました。
2026年大会の競技テーマは「カンフー」です。世界大会の開催地である香港の古代武術から着想を得たもので、伝統を重んじ、規律・戦術・チームワークを磨く修行者の道を模しています。大会を勝ち進んだ本学チームは、東京大学との決勝戦を制し、見事日本一の座に輝きました。
この優勝を受け、本学チームは8月23日（日）に香港で開催された世界大会「ABUロボコン2026」へ日本代表として出場しました。惜しくも準決勝で敗れベスト4となりましたが、優れた技術力と熱いチームワークが高く評価され、「特別賞」及び「チームスピリット賞」をダブル受賞しました。
