Faculty members from Mongolian University of Science and Technology visited our university

06 Jul 2016

On June 23-28, two faculty members in charge of fundamental engineering courses at Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), Dr. Oyunchimeg Mendbayar and Ms. Norolkhoo Saranchimeg visited our university in order to learn how to teach and evaluate students at TUT, under the twinning program within "Higher Engineering Education Development Project".

The twinning program with MUST is one of three programs under the scheme of the Higher Engineering Education Development Project by Mongolian government, aimed to improve the undergraduate education program of MUST.
The students in the program will mainly learn Japanese language and fundamental engineering at MUST for the first five semesters (2.5 years). After passing the screening process, they will take engineering courses for two years at the member universities in Japan.
The first batch of students will join our undergraduate degree program as third-year students in 2018.

Dr. Mendbayar and Ms. Saranchimeg had a courtesy call to Vice President Akira Ohgai on June 24. Then, they had a meeting with Professor Shigeru Kato, Professor Shoji Nakazawa and Associate Professor Tomoya Matsui to exchange of views about the current status and the future plan for MUST students in the program.

It was an extremely valuable opportunity for TUT to further exchange with the MUST.
