English Training Starts in Penang for the Academic Year 2014 Long-Term Faculty Development Program

27 Jan 2015

Ten members of the technical college faculty are training in the academic year 2014 Long-Term Faculty Development Program for nurturing global education and research abilities.
They completed their six-month (June 30-December 24, 2014) English training at The City University of New York Queens College (QC), and started the final step of the program, a two-month stay at Toyohashi Tech's Penang Campus (January 11-March 9, 2015).

There they will put their improved English communication abilities and English lecturing techniques to use by teaching classes in English at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
These classes will share a theme, "Engineering Technologies for the Realization of a Safe and Reliable Automobile-Oriented Society", and each technical college faculty member intends to systematically sort out how their own specialized technologies are related to automobiles and an automobile-oriented society using easy-to-understand English.
We plan to provide updates on their training in Malaysia with "News from Penang."
Also, be sure to visit the Center for International Education's website the see more on the training at The City University of New York Queens College (QC) in "News from QC."
