FY2012 Coordinator Training for Tertiary Education-Industry-Government (T-I-G) Link to Develop Local Industry Sector, one of the JICA-sponsored topic-specific group training courses, completed

A closing ceremony for the Coordinator Training for Tertiary Education-Industry-Government (T-I-G) Link to Develop Local Industry Sector, one of the topic-specific group training courses sponsored by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), was held on November 8 to mark the completion of the course, which has been held at the university since October 3 without incident. At the closing ceremony, Akira Shibuya, the head of the Training Operations Section of JICA's Chubu International Center, presented trainees with a certificate of completion.


After that, Naohiro Hozumi, director of the International Cooperation Center for Engineering Education Development (ICCEED), read a congratulatory address from Kiyokatsu Jinno, executive trustee and vice president of the university, and this was followed by a congratulatory speech by Chie Sato of Biztech Inc., who served as the course instructor representative. Finally, Johnson Wechuli Nanjakululu from Kenya, the trainee representative, expressed his thanks to related parties and discussed his desire to undertake activities after returning to his home country. After returning to their respective home countries, each trainee will promote industry-academia-government partnerships in their country and organization in accordance with the action plan they created.
