International Exchange Club "TUT CALL" visited Elementary School to hold International Exchange Meeting with pupils

08 Feb 2012

tut_call_3.JPGOn January 18, the 'TUT CALL' advisor, Associate Professor Takahiko Hayashi and our foreign students from Bangladesh, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia and Korea (in a total of six) in addition to five Japanese students visited Toyohashi City Hosoya Elementary School to have an exchange party.
This visit resulted from encouragement by Professor Hayashi and was second such visit in consecutive years.

In the exchange party, the foreign students were paired with each grader and enjoyed school lunch with the pupils.
They then introduced their own culture, and performed traditional home country dances and songs.

Over the short time of the meeting, the pupils were able to experience different cultures.
We hope that this event has helped the elementary school children to develop an interest not only in Japan but also other foreign countries.
