Prof. Muhammad Basir Cyio, Dean of Tadulako University, Indonesia, and faculty members visited Toyohashi Tech
16 Dec 2011
A group of ten members including Dean, Prof. Muhammad Basir Cyio from Tadulako University, Indonesia, visited Toyohashi University of Technology on November 25th.
Tadulako University is the largest national university in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, and has conducted research that is rooted in the community. The University signed an Inter-University Exchange Agreement with Toyohashi Tech in July 2011. This visit was arranged after their request in order to progress mutual cooperation between both universities and research institutes in education and research. Professor Basir and our President Sakaki presented the outlines of both universities, and then exchanged ideas on collaborative research and student exchange.
After Professor Basir Cyio's courtesy call on President Sakaki, they visited the Intelligent Green House in the Research Center for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology, and EIIRIS (Electronics-Inspired Interdisciplinary Research Institute).
Despite a limited time schedule, this visit turned out to be a valuable opportunity to develop university inter-exchange in research and education for the future.
