Project Professor Saegusa, Research Center for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology Received Research Paper Award from Pedology Society of Japan

thumb-smallthumb-MasahikoSaigusa.jpgThe 6th 'Award for a Research Paper' from the Pedology Society of Japan was given to Project Professor Masahiko Saegusa, of the Research Center for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology.

This award is given to the author of a paper published in the Journal of the Pedology Society of Japan (The 'Pedologist') for further development of the society in the past two years. 
On the basis of recommendations by the members, the award-winning paper is confirmed from the papers recommended by the council members.  

The purpose of the Pedology Society of Japan is to develop research into the generation and classification of soils and to disseminate the knowledge and to give opportunities for free discussions.

Title of the awarded paper:
"Composition of clay minerals in typical paddy soils in the Northern Tohoku region".


Research Center for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology:
This center is an advanced research institute at Toyohashi Tech, which was established in 2006 as part of Toyohashi Tech's 30th anniversary for the purpose of conducting research and development into the integration of agriculture and industry and its practical applications. 
Specially appointed instructors from the Center, in cooperation with existing instructors from the Departments, cooperate cross-functionally and collaborate in their research works.
