Superheavy Element Laboratory (RIKEN)
Outline:
The Periodic Table still has blank to be filled. Superheavy element research group at RIKEN synthesized and identified a isotope of the new element with atomic number 113 through cold fusion.
Elements with large atomic numbers are unstable so that one can synthesize this new element with 1/100,000,000,000,000 probabilities. This marked the first time that a new element had been synthesized in Japan.
Thus, a right to give a name of the element will be given to us, RIKEN after International joint working group (IUPAC/IUPAP) agree that the priority of our group's discovery of the element with atomic number 113.
