The International University Exchange Programme for Young Engineers aims at providing the future engineers the opportunity to learn and discuss issues related to technology, environment, society, and ethics in a global context to help students work more effectively in a world without borders. This programme brings together students and academics from different countries.
This year, 8 students from Bandung Institute Technology, and 5 students from Madania High School, both from Indonesia visited Toyohashi and discussed about "The Globalization and the Role of Engineering" with Toyohashi's 10 students.
Students were divided into five groups and discussed about the roles of international engineers for those issues in the economy, energy, education, information technology, and environment.
