Staff Training for Three Employees from Universiti Sains Malaysia

10 Jul 2019

From June 25 to June 29, 2019, three clerical staff from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) visited the Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) for staff training. TUT and USM have had an exchange agreement since 2006, with USM positioned as a key exchange hub for TUT in Southeast Asia. USM has greatly assisted TUT in the past, such as in 2013 when TUT established the oversea education base.

The staff training involved introducing the job description by clerical staff who visited USM for Global SD training, exchanging ideas on TUT's education administration system and HR evaluation systems, and holding meetings regarding this year's Global SD and international training programs (student dispatch), and our twinning program with USM. During the campus tour, the staff visited research laboratories of Electrical and Electronic Information Engineering, Applied Chemistry and Life Science and Architecture and Civil Engineering, which are fields being researched in partnership with USM. The staff also visited the Global House that was completed in this March. On June 26, staff visited Shizuoka University Hamamatsu Campus.

This staff training was conducted as part of TUT's effort to encourage interaction between clerical staff at both universities to complement international exchange between students and faculty with TUT's main overseas partner universities for complementing a "multicultural/global campus" as part of TUT's "Super Global University Support Program."
