TUT visited by four guests from Leipzig, Germany, on October 10

17 Oct 2018

On October 10 (Wed), Economic Manager of Ute Liebelt in Leipzig as well as three others from the same German city visited us at TUT. This presented a fantastic opportunity for TUT and the visitors to connect and share common interests.

Leipzig is a city located in Saxony, eastern Germany. The German Biomass Research Centre based in Leipzig is known for its keen interest in the field of biomass, tackling both fundamental and practical research on a number of different energy sources, including biomass itself.

In addition to the visit to Toyohashi City during their trip to Japan, while visiting TUT the group took part in an inspection tour of both our Research Centre for Agrotechnology and Biotechnology, and the laboratory of Professor Hiroyuki Daimon.

Prior to the visit to our facility, University President Onishi, Vice President Matsuda and Professor Hozumi provided the German visitors an outline of the university and an explanation of the different fields researched at TUT, engaging with the visitors in a lively and productive discussion.
