The TUT 530 (Zero Waste) Initiative Begins
12 Jun 2018
On June 7, TUT started its 530 (Zero Waste) Initiative.
Toyohashi City is the birthplace of the 530 (Zero Waste) Initiative, an annual event that aims to raise teacher and student awareness of environmental beautification and the efficient use of resources.
This year's event was postponed once due to rain, but the sky was clear this time around and nearly 1,200 teachers and students spent around an hour picking up garbage in their designated area on the campus as well as on the roads surrounding the campus under the instruction of President Onishi.
