My research is mainly concerned on the improvement of the properties of metallic materials. Regarding structural materials, researches on the strengthening of materials such as steels, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, by severe plastic deformation have been the target. I also do research on forging to produce high strength forging automobile parts. Controlling the size and amount of precipitates and grain size by forging temperature and amount of strain, high strength forging parts can be produced. Computer simulation of the forging process has also been studied. Regarding functional materials, shape memory alloys and thermoelectrc materials have been studied.
