The signing of an academic exchange agreement with CINVESTAV (Mexico)

Professor Jose Gerardo Cabanas Moreno, as a representative of the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (CINVESTAV) in Mexico, visited Toyohashi University of Technology (TUT) on 13 October 2016.
CINVESTAV is a research institute founded in 1961 by a Mexican presidential decree with the aim of promoting the advancement of science and technology for the development of the country.

Prof. Cabanas Moreno met with Dr. Onishi, President of TUT; Dr. Inoue, Executive Trustee and Vice President; Dr. Umemoto, Project Professor; and Dr. Todaka, Associate Professor to discuss the establishment of a twinning program and the promotion of student exchanges.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Onishi presented a signed inter-university exchange agreement to Prof. Cabanas Moreno.

Despite a limited time schedule, Prof. Cabanas Moreno's visit was an extremely valuable opportunity for TUT to further the exchange with CINVESTAV in the future.
