06 Nov 2014

The 11th International Conference on Technology of Plasticity (ICTP 2014) took place in Nagoya, Japan on October 19 to 24, 2014. It was sponsored by the Japan Society on Technology of Plasticity (JSTP), Nagoya University and Toyohashi University of Technology.

This triennial conference has become one of the biggest international events in forming technology. The conference covered all major areas of materials forming and offers the chances to exchange advanced research and development information.

Professor Ken-ichiro Mori, Department of Mechanical Engineering, acted as the chairman of the conference. He was awarded two prizes: JSTS International Prize for Research & Development in Precision Forging and Best Paper Award.
JSTS International Prize for Research & Development in Precision Forging is awarded to the two researchers made a major contribution internationally.
Best Paper Award is awarded to the top 5 among 404 papers at ICTP 2014. Assistant Professor Tomoyoshi Maeno, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Prof. Mori won this award.
