The Research Center of Physical Fitness, Sports and Health, located in the sports facility zone of the campus, was completed in 1979. A full-time staff of three works in the center.
The primary function of the center is to provide care and advice concerning physical and mental health to students and faculty members. Regular and ordinary medical examinations, including blood pressure, anthropometric measurements, electrocardiogram, blood and urine analyses, and physical fitness tests, are conducted in the center. A nurse is always on duty there. Two part-time medical doctors and a councilor are also taking part in the medical needs of the campus. Another function of the center is to educate sports and physical education mainly to undergraduate students.
At the same time, comprehensive researches are carried out by two members of the staff on exercise physiology and neuroscience. Some research projects are conducting in cooperation with faculties from the engineering departments.
