Language Center, founded in April 1978, has contributed to the language education for all the members of the university community. The primary goals of the Language Center are to support students' learning of foreign languages and expansion and deepening of language-related knowledge of students as well as the university staff.

With the intent of systematic and effective language education, the Language Center, with its five staff, focuses on the following programs:

  1. Practical research on and development of effective teaching methodology
  2. Practical research on and development of effective usage of AV equipment and computers;
    Promotion of usage of the technological equipment
  3. Promotion of faculty development

The Language Center also provides many extracurricular intensive courses on various languages. Moreover, the Center supplies up-to-date facilities and a vast amount of audiovisual materials so that the learners can understand living languages and cultures of all over the world.
