Categories of International Students/Admission Procedure

   1. Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarships

These scholarships are provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(Monbukagakusho) on behalf of the Japanese government.
The monthly stipend is ¥170,000 for graduate students, and ¥134,000 for undergraduate students.
The students are also exempted from fees.
The selection of applications for these scholarships is made in your home country. For further details, contact the Japanese Embassy or equivalent body, in your country.

  2. Honors Scholarships for Self-financed International Students

Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) offers "Honors scholarships" through its selection of self-financing international students at universities and graduate schools who display excellence in their academic work and character and who are recognized to be in need of economic assistance during their stay in Japan.

   3. Scholarships from Private Organizations

Self-financing students are eligible to apply for scholarships from various private organizations, though the number is limited.
