Categories of International Students
An international student is a student whose 'Status of Residence' declares that he/she is a 'College Student' upon arrival in Japan.
There are three types of international students studying at TUT
Japanese Government Scholarship Student
Those who receive scholarships from the Japanese government (Monbukagakusho) for study and research in universities
Foreign Government Scholarship Student
Those who receive scholarships from a foreign government
Self-financing International Student
Those who finance themselves

Undergraduates
A student's status is classified according to the following divisions.
Regular Student
Undergraduate and graduate students whose objective is research
Research Student
Postgraduate students whose objectice is research
Part-time Student
Upper Secondary school or university graduates whose objective is to obtain credits
Research Exchange Student
Research Students based on Exchange Agreements between TUT and foreign universities
Auditing Student
Part-time Students based on Exchange Agreements between TUT and foreign universities
